In my session on how to evaluate tzedakot, I hope to share information about web resources, mistakes donors make in evaluating charities, how those mistakes can give charities the wrong incentives, what Jewish tradition has to say about the need for due diligence in giving, and what to look for in taking the measure of a tzedakah.

New organization provides online profiles of Israeli charities.

מידות
A new Israeli organization called Midot is providing English language and Hebrew language profiles of Israeli charities. Unlike Tzedakah, Inc., Midot rates the organizations it profiles. We merely provide information with no ratings. Midot is an excellent complement to our work. We welcome the organization and wish it much success. We strongly suggest that you pay their website a visit. Click here to go to the Midot site
